Rob Popham - Managing Director

Rob Popham is the Global Managing Director at Rocco Mercier Executive Search.

Head Quartered in our London office, Rob is responsible for the strategic direction of Rocco Mercier through its offices in Johannesburg, Sydney, Lima & Santiago and principally concentrates on executing Board level and C-Level Search assignments for mining and minerals companies across the globe.

Whilst over-seeing all global activity for Rocco Mercier, Rob prides himself on taking a very hands-on approach when approaching a client’s specific requirements which often includes acclimatisation trips to tour mines, tailings facilities and related assets, most recently in South Africa, Australia, South America and Europe.

Prior to founding Rocco Mercier, Rob began his career in technology sales before migrating into Executive Search in 1998. Most recently he was the Global Head of Mining within another leading Search firm. During this time, Rob built a vertically aligned, specialist mining practice dedicated to specific commodities, skill-sets and regions whilst maintaining personal billings in excess of £1.2million per annum.
